Sample Intro-Main post

This is the main intro post. It uses post type "Intro-Main" and appears on the homepage only. Your template can make these "intro" posts have a different look, and different features. For example this template does not show the date, the time, tags, or allow any feedback. A different template might have comments possible, or the item itself can have comments disabled.

Follow up:

There are 4 types of "intro" posts:

  • Intro-Main: This shows up on a completely unfiltered page, meaning the first page of multiple posts.
  • Intro-Cat: This shows up when a visitor clicks on a category name, useful to describe the category for your visitor.
  • Intro-Tag: Similar to "intro-cat", this shows up when a visitor clicks on a tag name.
  • Intro-Sub: This shows up if there is no other intro type of post to show.

Again, each template can handle intro items differently, including not showing them at all (usually an older template, or one not designed well).
